Ever wanted to know just what a stage manager does? Wanna find out how they seem to know everything about the show and all the actors? Do you love organizing? Fixing problems? Watching how our amazing shows get from page to stage, beyond the acting? Then this class is for you.
You will learn how to stage manage a show, from pre-audition all the way to show strike. You’ll understand the inner-workings of every aspect of the behind-the-scenes. At the end of the 10 weeks, you’ll have all the tools to: make a complete stage manager kit, make schedules and reports, learn how communication of all departments work, and much more. You will have hands-on experience of doing just about every step of the job from calling a show, changing notes to reports, making scene by scenes, and so much more. The best part is with the completion of this class, you will get the opportunity to apply for a CYT Baton Rouge stage manager internship for one of our shows! So bring your favorite office supplies and sign up for what is sure to be an awesome time!

Bekah has been apart of CYT for the past 3 years. She has served on many different production teams for past shows. She assisted directed CYT’s production of Cinderella and is proud to be Stage Managing again in Tuck Everlasting; as she loves to be the organizer of chaos. She has been in many stage productions herself and holds a degree in education. Bekah can also be found teaching Auditions and Monologues, along with other classes at CYT. She adores homeschooling her children and playing board games with her friends and family.
