Description

Level 200: Core (Intermediate) strengthens foundational acting skills while deepening students' understanding of character development, emotional authenticity, and scene performance. Students will explore more complex acting tools including motivated blocking, vocal nuance, and character arcs.
With a focus on ensemble collaboration, improvisation, and script analysis, this level challenges students to think critically about their characters and make bold, dynamic choices in rehearsal and performance.
By the end of this course, students will demonstrate increased precision, confidence, and emotional connection in their work.

Tadd Swart

Tadd was born in California, and moved to Louisiana in 2008, where he lives with his wife, Elaine, and their two children, Asher and Primrose. His love for theater started with skits while on mission trips but grew in high school, where some of his favorite roles were the Bishop and Enjolras (Les Miserables), and Samuel (Pirates of Penzance). He has been a teacher in classical schools for 18 years.
