Description

Jazz 100 for Youth is the perfect way to jump into the world of dance! In this high-energy class, students will learn the basic moves and key dance terms that build a strong foundation in jazz—skills that can carry over to musical theatre, ballet, and beyond. While it’s all about dancing, we also sprinkle in some character work, helping students bring personality and storytelling to every step. Whether you are just starting out or looking to build confidence on stage, this class is a fun, supportive place to grow, move, and shine!

Caroline Collins 1

Caroline is thrilled to be teaching at CYT! She has been trained in dance for 19 years at locations including Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, Phyliss Guy Dance Center, and CYT. She has performed in numerous shows throughout the Baton Rouge are. Her favorite roles include Annie in Annie jr, Queen Sabor in Tarzan, and the Wardrobe in Beauty and the Beast. She is so excited to share her love of dance with her students!
