Description

Voice Level 200 class are designed to build upon the foundational skills developed in Level 100, focusing on expanding vocal range, control, and expressive singing. In this level, students will
  • explore advanced breath control techniques
  • develop resonance and tone quality as students continue to refine their head and
chest voice and blend registers smoothly.
  • learn about harmony, allowing students to sing rounds, canons, and simple harmonies
  • begin exploring vowel modification to enhance sound quality across different registers
  • work on expressive singing by diving deeper into phrasing, dynamics, and emotional interpretation of songs. 
This level encourages greater confidence and versatility in vocal expression, preparing students for more advanced singing techniques and performance skills.

This class will be combined with the girls Voice 200 class.
Prerequisite: Voice level 100 is required.

David Louviere

David is an Emergency/Critical Care Registered Nurse with a passion for the arts. While studying Vocal Performance at Southeastern Louisiana University, he performed regularly in community theatre and in Southeastern’s Opera and Musical Theatre Department, where he met his wife, Mandy. David is committed to fostering the love of music and theatre in others; he is a CYT Teaching Artist, teaches voice at a homeschool co-op and serves as one of the worship leaders at his church. David counts it an abundant blessing to have his wife and his four children flourishing in the CYT community and is thankful for the opportunity to serve the cast of Narnia as Music Director.
