This beginning drama course is designed to promote creativity and appreciation for the dramatic arts and to establish better communication skills in the young student.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:
• Demonstrate how body language and facial expression affect communication.
• Demonstrate basic vocal techniques and expression, as well as their effects on communication.
• Define basic terms commonly used in theater.
• Utilize the five senses, creating a sensory memory, to recall them for character development.
• Develop a character and perform a showcase combining all skills learned in class.
